FORD - PARTNERSHIP FOR ADVANCED STUDIES AND NEXT GENERATION LEARNINGVolusia County has been designated as a Ford PAS-NGL Community since 2007. As a Next Generation Learning Community, Volusia is recognized as a leader in redesigning high schools and the student experience primarily through the Career Academy model. Three Volusia Career Academies were "pilot" academies and used the Ford PAS curriculum to develop additional curriculum integration between the CTE and core academic courses. The pilot academies for 2010 included the Academy of Information Technology and Robotics at Spruce Creek High School, the Academy of Entertainment & Sports Marketing at New Smyrna Beach High School, and the Engineering Academy at DeLand High School.
